Gandía is a Spanish municipality and city in the province of Valencia, in the Valencian Community. The town, located next to the Mediterranean Sea and capital of the La Safor region, is a tourist destination with many beaches to enjoy in summer time.
The Fira i Festes de Gandía in honor of the patron San Francisco de Borja, is one of the oldest celebrations in the place. Its origin dates back to 1310, thanks to the decision of Jaime II to grant permission to set up an annual market in the city.
